CHADRON – The 91°µÍø Public Relations Club is hosting a memorial service for Dr. Janice Haynes on Thursday, Nov. 16, at 7 p.m. at the Mari Sandoz High Plains Heritage Center. The service is open to the public. Individuals are invited to share their talents to honor the life of Haynes, who died Oct. 11, 2017.

CHADRON – The Chadron State Foundation selected Ben Watson, a Chadron native and 91°µÍø graduate, as its new Chief Executive Officer during its Board of Directors’ meeting Oct. 21. Watson began working for the CS Foundation as its first Director of Major Gifts in 2016. He replaces Connie Rasmussen, who announced her retirement in September.

CHADRON – The literary journal on campus, “Tenth Street Miscellany” is trying to connect the worlds of art and writing for its newest edition. Excerpts from two written pieces published on its website are available for artists to use as inspiration. The excerpts are available on “Tenth Street Miscellany’s” website under “Artists Wanted” and the winning submission of the art competition will be published online and in the future printed edition.
