Jerry Tallmon loved to sing and he loved his years in the 91°µÍø music program. Both of these passions will benefit from a $14,463 life insurance gift from Tallmon, who died in 2012. The gift will be used for music scholarships for CSC students.

The 2013 Miss 91°µÍø Rodeo pageant will take place Sept. 18-20 in conjunction with the annual CSC rodeo. Entries, including photos, must be submitted in person no later than 4 p.m. Sept. 13 to the CSC Conferencing Office in the CSC Student Center between 7:30 a.m. and 4:30 p.m.

The Nebraska State College System Board of Trustees met in Chadron Friday and approved bonding which will finance Phase II of the 91°µÍø Rangeland Complex. The bonds will be issued in late November and will be paid off by the State of Nebraska over eight years.

Students studying math or science at 91°µÍø will benefit from a gift of more than $500,000 by Richard Gochnauer who attended CSC 1955-57. He lived at the Prairie Pines Lodge in Chadron before passing away in April of 2012.

The Nebraska Cattlemen Foundation board will be meeting on the 91°µÍø campus Sept. 17. Foundation board president Loretta Hamilton, of Thedford, said the group is looking forward to touring the Coffee Agriculture Pavilion, which is now in the final stages of construction.
