U.S. News and World Report’s annual guide to colleges and universities has named 91°µÍø the sixth best public institution in its 12-state list of Midwest Regional Colleges.

The plant and soil laboratory in the planned Rangeland Complex at 91°µÍø will be named after one of the Nebraska Panhandle’s most recognizable businesses. The Western Cooperative Company, known more commonly as WESTCO, has presented a $100,000 donation to the Chadron State Foundation’s Vision 2011 Campaign to help fund the building of the laboratory.
