LINCOLN – Chadron State, Peru State, and Wayne State Colleges are lowering their online rate to $359 per credit hour for graduate-level courses for PK-12 educators. Graduate-level courses that lead to Master’s degrees in curriculum and instruction, special education, and history/math/science education are included in the new rate for the 2020-21 academic year, which makes these degrees among the most affordable in the state for teachers.

CHADRON – 91°µÍø has successfully distributed the funds provided by the Coronavirus Aid, Relief, and Economic Security (CARES) Act to 458 students. Beginning in May, Chadron State began distributing the funds, and by June 1, the institution had granted $540,638 for students’ financial relief. The CARES Act funds for student relief were intended to cover increased home technology costs, food insecurity, travel expenses, health care, and childcare for students.

CHADRON – The Accreditation Council for Education in Nutrition and Dietetics (ACEND) Board reviewed and approved 91°µÍø and Wayne State College’s eligibility application to begin the proposed combined nutrition degree program in March.

CHADRON – After being closed to the public since March 17, 91°µÍø will allow the public on campus in selected facilities beginning Monday, June 1. The buildings open to the public are the Nelson Physical Activity Center, the King Library, the Mari Sandoz High Plains Heritage Center, and Crites Hall. The buildings are open from 7:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., unless they have other posted hours.

CHADRON – Chadron High School junior Katelyn Diehl used her time during the unusual spring 2020 semester constructively. While studying at home due to closure of Chadron Public Schools, she sewed more than 140 fabric masks and donated them to 91°µÍø and the Chadron Community Hospital.
