CHADRON – While construction was being completed on the east side of 91°µÍø’s campus this summer, four West Court structures containing 10 apartments were being demolished on the west side. The units were constructed in the late 1950s and early 1960s but they were demolished as part of the first step in a three-year plan to remove the housing complex, according to Dale Grant, vice president of administration and finance. Asbestos abatement was completed prior to the demolition.

CHADRON – When Dr. Mathew Brust, associate professor of physical and life sciences at 91°µÍø, traveled a few miles south of campus in July 2014 to collect hackberry butterflies for Steve Spomer, a colleague and butterfly expert in eastern Nebraska, he had no idea he would happen upon a pine tree grasshopper, formerly only documented 400 miles to the east.

CHADRON – Nearly 500 students will attend 91°µÍø’s New Student Orientation (NSO) Thursday, Aug. 20 and Friday, Aug. 21. Students will participate in CSC traditions while also learning how to make choices to create great college memories during the “Eagle Pride” event.
