LINCOLN – The Nebraska State College System Board of Trustees will consider an increase in tuition for students attending Chadron, Peru and Wayne State Colleges at its June 18, 2015, meeting. If approved, the tuition rate will result in undergraduate students at the three colleges paying $153 per credit hour for 2015-2016.

CHADRON – Twenty-five works of art form the nucleus of 91°µÍø’s William Artis collection, but other unique items in the college archive help round out the picture of the pioneering African-American sculptor and ceramist who taught art at CSC in the ’50s and ’60s.

CHADRON – Dr. Steve Coughlin is having quite a year. Not only did Coughlin, an assistant professor of English, wrap up his inaugural year of teaching at 91°µÍø, but his first book of poetry, “Another City,” was recently published. The 28 poems in the book reflect multifaceted reverberations of trauma upon family relationships. One dates back to his undergraduate career, but most have been written within the past three years.

CHADRON – Twenty-one high school students from Chadron, Alliance and Crawford are now enrolled in the Upward Bound summer program on the 91°µÍø campus. Upward Bound is one of six federal TRiO programs designed to motivate and support students from disadvantaged backgrounds in their educational endeavors.
