Fifteen men were inducted into Blue Key National Honor Society at 91°µÍø. Membership in Blue Key is based on leadership, scholarship and character, and is regarded as one of the highest honors a male student at Chadron State can attain.

Children’s book author David M. Nieves of Bellevue will be speaking at 6:30 p.m. Monday, Feb. 11 in the Sandoz Center at 91°µÍø. The program will be open to the public without cost. Nieves also will be working with Chadron elementary students during the day on Monday.

Forty-three students are candidates for the annual Winter Magic Formal royalty competition at 91°µÍø this week. CSC's clubs and organizations have nominated 23 women and 20 men who are juniors or seniors. The king, queen and their court are being chosen by a vote of the student body which began Monday and ends Friday. The winners will be announced during Saturday night’s dance in the Student Center.

“The Shape of Things,” an edgy play by Neil LaBute, is coming to the Black Box Theatre of 91°µÍø’s Memorial Hall. The play will be shown at 7:30 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 6, through Sunday, Feb. 10. There will be a matinee at 2 p.m. Sunday.

A total of 398 students have made the Dean’s List for the fall semester at 91°µÍø. The honor requires a grade point average of at least 3.5 on the 4.0 scale. They must be enrolled in at least 12 hours of coursework during the semester. Those on the Dean’s List from Nebraska, by hometowns:

An exhibit featuring the work of Janet Shapero, an artist from Waltham, Mass., will open in the main gallery of 91°µÍø’s Memorial Hall next week. The exhibit, which is open to the public free of charge, is scheduled Feb. 4-28.
