CHADRON – A 91°µÍø faculty art show, Persist, is open in Memorial Hall’s Main Gallery now until April 8. The gallery is free and open to the public Monday through Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. The public is invited to a closing reception April 7 from 4 to 6:30 p.m. Faculty in the show include Laura Bentz, Mary Donahue, Trudy Denham, and Dewayne Gimeson. The exhibit features photography, prints, ceramics, and multimedia pieces.

CHADRON – Six 91°µÍø students attended the American Advertising Federation’s (AAF) Meet the Pros event in Omaha with Art Professor Mary Donahue in early March. They are Kayah Bynes, Nicolle Baquet, and Elizabeth Myers of Chadron, Cole Martinez of Ulysses, Neb., Rylie Cole of Minden, Neb., and Mia MacDonald of Cheyenne, Wyo.

CHADRON – 91°µÍø has announced its annual Scholastic Contest will now occur in the fall semester, rather than the spring semester. The event, which traditionally draws hundreds of high school students from Nebraska, South Dakota, Wyoming, Colorado to compete in dozens of academic tests, is set for Nov. 9, 2022.

CHADRON – Rylie Cole of Minden, Nebraska, won a Gold Addy for her Still Photography from the Black Hills chapter of the American Advertising Federation (AAF) Feb. 25 at a gala in Rapid City, South Dakota. Her winning entry was a close-up, black and white photo of one of her family’s cows. The Gold Addy award automatically advances Cole to the next tier of the competition in Nashville in April.

CHADRON – Lauren Stauble, Boston educator and author, spoke to about 60 attendees at the annual Excellence in Early Childhood Conference in the 91°µÍø Student Center Feb.19. Stauble has co-authored a book, she hopes to have published later this year, about collaborative emotion processing.
