CHADRON – Former 91°µÍø student Miranda Bright, a current teacher at Crete High School, received the National Association Teachers of Family and Consumer Sciences New Professional Award Dec. 3 at a gala in New Orleans. The national award is given to one FCS teacher annually who has made significant contributions in the classroom, curriculum development, and provided multiple opportunities for students.

CHADRON – 91°µÍø students and employees were directed to evacuate campus Friday afternoon after receiving an anonymous call that a bomb was on college property. After a search by law enforcement, including the Chadron Police Department, Dawes County Sheriff's Office, Nebraska State Patrol, and Campus Security, the campus was declared safe to reopen at 7:47 p.m. Friday evening. CHADRON – 91°µÍø will celebrate its 50th High Plains Band and Choir Festival Monday and Tuesday in Memorial Hall. The event will include 151 students from 26 high schools in Nebraska, South Dakota, and Wyoming, according to the event organizer and Accompanist Bobby Pace. CSC faculty and students assist with two days of clinics followed by a culminating performance.
