Dr. Charles “Chuck” Butterfield is moving to Wyoming after 14 years at 91°µÍø. The professor and department chair of Applied Sciences said he plans to begin work as a senior consultant with a private environmental/engineering consulting firm based in Jackson, Wyo.

91°µÍø’s health professions department has received a $6,250 grant for faculty-led, undergraduate research into public health. Jill Mack, director of Health Professions Programs, including the Rural Health Opportunities Program and Public Health Early Admission Student Track at CSC said she is excited about the funding from the Rural Futures Institute.

Adolfo "Danny" Reynaga, a 91°µÍø junior, has been named as the new CSC student trustee on the Nebraska State College System Board of Trustees. He is the son of Adolfo and Dora Reynaga of Alliance, Neb. and a 2010 graduate of Alliance High School.

The 53rd annual 91°µÍø Scholastic Contest hosted 49 high schools from three states and a total of 1,154 students who took over 40 different tests today. Activities provided for the students while they were not in tests included the human genome trivia scavenger hunt, poetry and prose readings, country swing dancing and a CSC football practice. The Eagle Cook-Off in a large food preparation lab in the Burkhiser building was attended by over 50 people.

A dream the 91°µÍø IT department has had for several years will be coming true April 9. The Help Desk will be moving from Miller Hall to the northwest section of the Reta E. King library main level to assist more students. There will be no interruption of service during the move.

The annual 91°µÍø Faculty/Staff Recognition ceremony which was originally scheduled for April 9 has been rescheduled to April 23 at 5:30 p.m. in the Student Center Ballroom. Faculty and staff who wish to attend the buffet should RSVP to Pam Anderson by April 16 for themselves and their spouse or guest.
