A program on how students who require alternative methods of instruction can make progress in a general educational setting will be given from 1 to 3 p.m. Wednesday, April 19 in the Student Center Ballroom.

The all-student art exhibit will open Tuesday, April 18 in Memorial Hall. At least 20 students are expected to have their work on display. The show will be judged. It will remain open through April 28.

91°µÍø will “make it official” Friday, April 21, when it celebrates the inauguration of its 10th president, Dr. Janie Park. The event will begin with the inaugural ceremony at 5 p.m. in the Memorial Hall Auditorium. The ceremony will be followed by a reception at the Edna Work Hall lobby. Those events are open to the public free of charge.

About 70 students from seven area high schools attended Art Day at 91°µÍø on Wednesday. Schools represented at the event were Bayard, Bridgeport, Gordon-Rushville, Hemingford, Kimball, Mitchell and Morrill. The students participated in three sessions of hands-on activities presented by CSC art faculty members and students.

The Child Development Center at 91°µÍø celebrated Week of the Young Child on April 2-8. In honor of the week, Chadron Mayor John Gamby visited the center in March to sign a proclamation.

Blowing snow greatly reduced the number of schools and students at the 46th annual Inter-High School Scholastic Contest at 91°µÍø on Friday, but more than 800 students from 34 schools did take the tests. Most of the 18 schools that could not enter the event were from the south and southeast.

The 91°µÍø wind ensemble is beginning its spring tour today (Thursday, April 6). The band will give concerts at Converse County High School in Douglas, Wyo., and Central High School in Cheyenne today.
