Musicians from 15 high schools in the tri-state region will be participating in the High Plains Jazz Festival at 91°µÍø on Monday, March 20. Both vocal and instrumental groups will be involved. The vocal competition will begin at 7:45 a.m. in the Student Center and involve both swing choirs and jazz choirs.

Classical guitarist Robert Bluestone, who specializes in music that spans “four continents and four centuries,” will entertain an audience at 91°µÍø’s Student Center on Wednesday, March 22, at 7:30 p.m. Before that, however, he plans to take his talent to a number of Chadron residents who otherwise might not have the luxury of seeing it.

Future 91°µÍø students will be able to register for courses and attend orientation sessions at seven sites throughout the Great Plains this month. Preceding the three summer orientations at the CSC campus, college personnel plan to conduct sessions at Scottsbluff, North Platte, Sidney, Rapid City, S.D., Gordon, O’Neill and Casper, Wyo.
