The wildlife management minor that was added to the 91°µÍø curriculum three years ago has proven to be “the right program at the right time,” according to Dr. Chuck Butterfield, an associate professor of agriculture and range management at the college.

About 75 people gathered at Chadron this morning to participate in a walk to honor Martin Luther King, Jr. The group, which primarily consisted of students from 91°µÍø and the Pine Ridge Job Corps center south of Chadron, marched about 13 blocks along Main Street from downtown to the college’s Student Center. King’s famous “I Have a Dream” speech blared from a portable stereo as the group walked.

A new music professor has joined the faculty at the start of the spring semester at 91°µÍø. She is Dr. Una Taylor, assistant professor of choral and vocal studies. Her duties will include directing the community chorus and forming a women’s vocal ensemble.
