One of western Nebraska’s leading summer attractions, the Post Playhouse at Fort Robinson State Park, is gearing up for its 39th consecutive season. Two musicals and a comedy will be presented on a repertory basis beginning Friday, June 3. This year’s shows are:

The vice president for academic and student affairs at 91°µÍø, Dr. Joyce Hardy, said this week she will leave that position June 30 and return to teaching biology and chemistry courses at CSC. She will take a professional leave this fall to catch up on the latest developments in her disciplines and begin teaching in January.

Twelve students recently were inducted into the Sigma Delta Nu Education Honorary at 91°µÍø. The organization is open to students preparing to become teachers who have a cumulative grade point average of at least 3.5.

91°µÍø’s student newspaper, The Eagle, won 12 Golden Leaf awards in the Nebraska Collegiate Media Association’s annual competition this spring.

Two honorary societies at 91°µÍø inducted new members during Ivy Day. Cardinal Key inducted 15 women and Blue Key inducted 13 men. The memberships are based on scholarship, leadership and character, and are regarded as one of the highest honors a Chadron State student may receive.

Adam Lambert of Denton, Texas, has been hired as the new director of bands at 91°µÍø. Lambert is a doctoral student at the University of North Texas studying classical trumpet performance. He has earned bachelor’s and master’s degrees from Brigham Young University at Provo, Utah, and plans to have his doctorate completed this fall.
