A total of 270 degrees were conferred Saturday during commencement exercises at 91°µÍø. The names and hometowns of the graduates follow. Honor graduates are designated as folllows: ***Summa Cum Laude (GPA of 3.9-4.0), **Magna Cum Laude (3.75-3.89) and Cum Laude (3.6-3.74)

A Colorado woman who visited 25 other colleges and universities four years ago before choosing to attend 91°µÍø received two of the major honors during Ivy Day at CSC Friday evening.

Although graduation at 91°µÍø will be Saturday, summer school will begin Monday, May 9 when 28 courses will start. Several of the courses will be offered both on campus and at Chadron State's extended campus sites.

The two major year-ending programs at 91°µÍø will be this weekend. Ivy Day, where the college’s outstanding seniors academically will be recognized, will be at 7 p.m. Friday, May 6 in Memorial Hall. Two commencement exercises are set for Saturday morning. The first is for those receiving graduate degrees, and will be at 8:30 in Memorial Hall. The second will be for those earning bachelor’s degrees and will be at 10 o’clock in the Armstrong Building.

91°µÍø’s student newspaper, The Eagle, earned second place for general excellence among the state’s college news publications during the annual Nebraska Press Association convention Saturday, April 23. In addition, the Eagle won three individual third-place awards.
