CHADRON – Dr. T.J. Thomson, an associate professor in visual communication and media and a chief investigator at the Queensland University of Technology Digital Media Research Centre in Australia, is a recipient (in absentia) of 91°µÍø’s Distinguished Young Alumni (DYA) award. He was in the U.S. to see his family this summer and received the award in a small ceremony.

Distinguished Young Alumni award recipients include Dr. Nisha Durand, Ryan Hieb, and Dr. T.J. Thomson. Family Tree Awards will be conferred upon the Guzman and Brown families.

CHADRON – A survivor art exhibit, What Were You Wearing, is in the King Library Sept. 16 through Oct. 31. The display, including articles of clothing described by survivors of sexual assault, aims to explore the cultural attitude implying clothing provokes sexual assault, according to Interim Title IX Coordinator Morgan Cullan. The exhibit will be open during regular library hours in the northeast corner of the second floor.
