CHADRON – 91°µÍø President Randy Rhine announced Thursday during an all-campus meeting that the 2020 Winter Undergraduate and Graduate Commencement Ceremonies have been postponed. However, the college does plan to honor its winter graduates during a virtual ceremony.

CHADRON – “Dabbling in the Arts,” a show featuring the work of Linda Dabbs, an adjunct faculty member at 91°µÍø, opened in the Mari Sandoz High Plains Heritage Center in late September and will be open through Nov. 25. The showcase includes Dabbs’ work from art-related careers spanning four decades.

CHADRON – More than 200 people have registered for the One Big Thanks virtual conference co-hosted by 91°µÍø and Texas A&M Oct. 24. CSC students, led by Dr. Shaunda French-Collins, have attended the annual conference in College Station, Texas, since CSC first started hosting The Big Event, an annual day of service, in 2013

CHADRON – The schedule for 91°µÍø’s 2020 Homecoming is a bit lighter than normal due to concerns about the coronavirus. A handful of student events for the fall semester begin Wednesday, Oct. 14, but the coronation of royalty and a pep rally are tentatively being planned for 2021.

CHADRON – Instead of hosting its annual conference, the 91°µÍø Social Work senior class intends to produce a series of educational videos about the LGBTQ+ community and share it on USB drives in November. The purpose for the project is to decrease discrimination against members of the LGBTQ+ community.

CHADRON – Applications are now being accepted for the 2021 91°µÍø Education Association (CSCEA) scholarship. The scholarship, funded by CSCEA faculty members, provides two $500 scholarships for the Spring 2021 semester. Students who have completed a minimum of 30 hours at the time of application are eligible to apply.

CHADRON – The 91°µÍø Art Guild is inviting the campus community to participate in a project to establish the campus’ first Earth art project, a labyrinth in an abandoned cistern on the west side of C-Hill. Wednesday, employees and students are asked to meet at the Math Science building about 4:30 p.m. for the Rock and Run event.
