CHADRON – Dr. Rolland Dewing, a longtime 91°µÍø professor and division chairman who also became well-known for his historical research and writing, died at his home in Renton, Washington, Saturday, Dec. 5. He was 86.

CHADRON – Don Ruleaux, a former 91°µÍø adjunct faculty member and 1996 recipient of the college’s Distinguished Service Award died Wednesday. He was 89. He graduated with a bachelor’s degree in art education in 1959 after studying with prominent African American artist William Artis while he was a member of the CSC faculty.

CHADRON – The Chadron State Foundation’s annual Fall Fund Drive raised $101,984 for student scholarships and college programs in October. According to Jake Rissler, Chadron State Foundation Director of Development, more than 100 volunteers participated in the fund drive asking potential donors for contributions. The campus co-chairs were Shaunda French-Collins and Taylor Osmotherly. The community co-chairs were Gabby Michna and Trish Martens.

CHADRON – 91°µÍø President Randy Rhine announced Wednesday that all CSC events and facilities are closed to the public until further notice to help reduce potential spread of COVID-19. This includes all college buildings, as well as equipment or materials located in the Nelson Physical Activity Center, the Sandoz Center, the Student Center, and King Library.

CHADRON – 91°µÍø’s Senior Thesis Art Show, “Euphoric,” opened in Memorial Hall’s Main Gallery Monday, Nov. 9. The show features work from Jennifer Boyer, Hannah Conner, Shania Macomber, and Christopher Wright.
