LINCOLN – Governor Pete Ricketts has appointed Konery Klueber of Rapid City, South Dakota, Tyler Harms of Falls City, Nebraska, and Amanda Jaixen of Platte Center, Nebraska, to serve as student trustees on the Nebraska State College System Board of Trustees. They will each serve a one-year term in the 2020-21 academic year. Harms was appointed from Peru State College, and Jaixen was appointed to represent the students of Wayne State College.

CHADRON – Marji Patz, Ecological Site Specialist with the Soil Survey Office in Powell, Wyoming, received the 91°µÍø Range Alumni Achievement Award Jan. 16 during Range Day at the Student Center. Patz has been with the Soil and Plant Sciences Division of the U.S. Department of Agriculture Natural Resource Conservation Service (USDA-NRCS) since 2010.

CHADRON – A familiar face has assumed the interim role of Dean of Professional Studies and Applied Sciences at 91°µÍø. Dr. Margaret Crouse, who served as a dean at CSC from 1993 to 2002 and 2004 to 2015, will fill the role vacated by Dr. Jim Powell, who was recently named the college’s Vice President for Academic Affairs. Crouse’s first day at CSC was Monday.

LINCOLN – The Board of Trustees of the Nebraska State Colleges has approved a proposal for a new baccalaureate program in Nutrition and Dietetics, which was jointly submitted by 91°µÍø and Wayne State College. This collaborative degree program will be available via a hybrid delivery, with both Colleges offering the required courses via both face-to-face and online.
