LINCOLN – Governor Pete Ricketts has appointed Marjean Terrell of Hay Springs, Nebraska, to the Board of Trustees of the Nebraska State Colleges. Terrell was appointed to complete the term vacated by Michelle Suarez in December 2019. The Nebraska Legislature will hold a committee hearing, debate, and vote to confirm the appointment.

CHADRON – The Omaha Symphony will perform at 91°µÍø’s Memorial Hall Friday, Feb. 28, at 7:30 p.m. Tickets for the Galaxy Series event are free for CSC students and employees. CHADRON – Dr. Jodi Angel-Trejo, a Licensed Independent Mental Health Practitioner from Kearney, Nebraska, told nearly 100 attendees at 91°µÍø’s 31st annual Excellence in Early Childhood Conference Saturday in the Student Center that they are the most important teacher in a traumatized child’s life.

CHADRON – “Bits and Pieces: Beauty in Chaos,” a show featuring fiber art and quilts by CSC alumna Whitney Tewahade and digital photography by her daughter, Leila Tewahade, is now open in 91°µÍø’s Memorial Hall Main Gallery through March 20. The Mari Sandoz High Plains Heritage Center is seeking public contributions for its upcoming show “Soldiering into Victory: 75th Anniversary of World War II Ending.” The exhibit will be on display from April 8 to May 30. The Sandoz Center is requesting copies of photographs of local men and women in uniform who served in WWII and copies of letters they sent home.
