CHADRON – Although college students in parts of the world as far apart as western Nebraska and Mozambique, a nation of almost 30 million people on the southeast coast of Africa, are different in many ways, they seem to share at least one characteristic, according to a research project undertaken by 91°µÍø student Dinema Mate (Dee-nay-mah Mat-tay) last summer.

CHADRON – The 91°µÍø Theatre department is presenting two shows in the spring semester that both deal with the supernatural. “She Kills Monsters” by Qui Nguyen opens Feb. 20 and runs through Feb. 23. “The Great Beyond” and “The Ghost of Splinter Cove,” a combined show, will be April 23-26. Tickets are free and the productions will be in the Black Box Theatre. All performances will take place at 7:30 p.m. except the Sunday 2 p.m. matinees.

CHADRON – 91°µÍø’s first pop-up food pantry will be Sunday and Monday from 4 to 7 p.m. in the King Library entryway. The food pantry, targeted to help food insecure students, is provided by Shepherd’s Pantry at Immanuel Lutheran Church and CSC’s Student Senate.

CHADRON – The spring schedule of Dine With Us programs will feature 91°µÍø students providing glimpses of life in Ecuador, Mexico, the Congo, Nigeria, Sri Lanka, the Bahamas, and Italy. The presentations in the Scottsbluff Room are free and open to the public.

CHADRON – The Big Event staff and The Nest are hosting the annual The Big White Out Friday during 91°µÍø’s women’s and men’s basketball games against Colorado State University-Pueblo at the Chicoine Center. The women’s game begins at 5:30 p.m. and the men’s game follows at 7:30 p.m.

CHADRON – Sam Adams, a comedian from the Denver area, will perform Thursday at 7:30 p.m. in Memorial Hall as part of the Galaxy Series. Tickets are free for 91°µÍø students and employees. Advance tickets are $15 for adults and $13 for youth and seniors. Tickets at the door will be $16.
