CHADRON –Dr. Katherine Kral-O’Brien, a Practitioner in Residence at 91°µÍø, will present “Pollinators on Rangelands” Wednesday, April 24 at 7 p.m. in the Mari Sandoz High Plains Heritage Center. The event, sponsored by the Collegiate Farm Bureau chapter at CSC, is free and open to the public.

CHADRON – 91°µÍø’s seventh annual The Big Event had a first Saturday: it became the first one impacted by a snow storm. Approximately 12 inches of snow and a blizzard in the Chadron area days before the event reduced the number of planned jobsites from about 50 to half that number, according to Dr. Shaunda French-Collins, associate professor, who coordinates the annual day of service. CHADRON – A show dedicated to the equine species will open Saturday with a reception in the Mari Sandoz High Plains Heritage Center. “Heavenly Horses,” an exhibit comprised of 17 photos of Mari Sandoz visiting the Lazy VV horse farm near Nederland, Colorado, in the 1940s, also includes mixed media artwork from Edgemont, South Dakota, artist Tami Bauer, and customized Breyer model horses by Chadron resident Lori Fisher.
