CHADRON – The 49th annual High Plains Band and Choir festival will convene at 91°µÍø Monday. About 70 students from 23 high schools in Nebraska, Wyoming, and South Dakota will attend. Due to COVID-19, the event will not feature a guest conductor this year. Senior students who plan to attend CSC this fall have the opportunity to audition for music scholarships at the festival.

CHADRON – The life and accomplishments of Mari Sandoz will be showcased through March 5 in the Mari Sandoz High Plains Heritage Center. Hours are Monday through Thursday from 10 a.m. to noon and 1 to 4 p.m. and Friday 10 a.m. to noon. The Sandoz Center's accessibility is subject to change in accordance with COVID-19 protocols.

CHADRON – The Nebraska State College System Board of Trustees had its regular business meeting Jan. 13. At the meeting, the Board approved a new graduate degree program, four minors, and three MBA focus areas for 91°µÍø.

CHADRON – After being closed to the public since Nov. 18, 2020, 91°µÍø will reopen select facilities to the community beginning Monday, Jan. 25. The buildings reopening to the public are the Nelson Physical Activity Center, the Mari Sandoz High Plains Heritage Center, Crites Hall, King Library, Memorial Hall, and the Chicoine Center.

CHADRON – 91°µÍø is partnering with Nebraska Methodist College to offer a new program in which students can earn a Bachelor’s of Science degree in Health Sciences from 91°µÍø and an Associate’s of Science degree in Respiratory Care from Nebraska Methodist College. The Nebraska State College System Board of Trustees approved the program in June 2020.
