CHADRON – The 91°µÍø Scholastic Contest, an annual opportunity to recognize and the academic achievements of regional high school students, has been canceled for 2021. Co-Chairs of the Scholastic Day Committee Jamie Hamaker and Sara Smith said the tradition will resume next year.

CHADRON – This month's 91°µÍø Food Pantry will include fresh produce for the first time, according to organizer Kate Pope. An anonymous donor is providing the produce to be distributed on a first-come, first-serve basis. The Food Pantry will be in the Student Center Monday from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. and Tuesday from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m.

LINCOLN – Governor Pete Ricketts has appointed Ruth Mencia of Grand Island, Panashe Jacha of Elkhorn, and Jackson Richling of Grand Island to serve as student trustees on the Nebraska State College System Board of Trustees. They will serve a one-year term and represent Chadron, Peru, and Wayne State College students.
